At first I was horribly disappointed in this picture.. The quality of light, expression, and framing were all perfectly acceptable by my standards, great even. The problem: I had broken the most basic rule of portrait photography- the boy's eyes weren't sharp. Upon reviewing the picture, I realized that I almost liked that the eyes were unfocused.
